Then, seemingly out of nowhere, all of her sound on discord cuts out. She will join our server, and for a few minutes it is completely fine. My girlfriend's discord has been acting up. Discord Stuck on Connecting Foreverĭiscord is randomly disconnecting? This is something that's kind of weird. It also happens only with the desktop client and but never with the website version which is odd because the desktop client is built on chrome anyway afaik.Your place to talk.ĭiscord is a voice, video and text communication service to talk and hang out with your friends and communities. I've tried with QoS on and off and with two different routers by different manufactures. I'm gunna say this fix did work for me though so thanks a bunch! QoS doesn't seem to be a sure fix. Ok, so far I haven't noticed anything either. Im giving it a good half hour to see if i have to disconnect and reconnect to the channel before i say for sure if this fixed it. I can't help you with this since every Router has different settings. If your Router Supports QoS then you have to turn this service on. I prefer using push to talk and the website doesn't have that ability when it doesn't have focus. It never happens on the web client but will happen at least once a day on the desktop client and once it happens it seems to happen more and more frequently after that. We're all on different hardware too though. I've been having this problem for months, not only in private calls but servers too. I don't even think Discord is aware of this, which I don't understand how? Their status page says everything is fine, but obviously their servers or something are having issues.

I'm actually considering using a different software because this is getting really annoying and happens at the most inconvenient times. It's been happening to me for about 3 days now around the time I renewed my Discord Nitro. I believe it's only happening in private calls. I'm also having the same issue and so are my friends. I can confirm that I am having this exact same issue and I can't locate the cause or solution. If I get it figured out I'll post what I find here. However, it didn't work for me and I currently have a ticket open with Discord support. EDIT: Since a lot of people seem to be stumbling across this, there's a "fix" in the comments that someone posted. What's particularly odd is that I don't even see their names like up when they're speaking anymore, even when I know that they are. I won't be able to hear anyone at all until I disconnect and reconnect to the server. After a random amount of time, could be 30 seconds, could be 5 minutes, I just suddenly realize that no one seems to be talking anymore or someone will cut out mid sentence. When I first get on Discord it will work totally fine. Audio output randomly dropping? I just started having this issue yesterday.
